Ya Man Debuts Micro Spicule

Japanese skin care innovator Ya-Man has debuted in the U.S. market with the launch of its Medi Lift brand Needle Lift Daily Care skin care collection. The products feature a micro-spicule technology that reportedly delivers active ingredients more effectively than leading topical creams.

The microscopic spicules are topical, needle-like structures derived from underwater sea sponges. As the company explains, theycreate micro-channels in the skin, allowing for active ingredients to penetrate deeper and thus mimickingthe effects of a gentle microneedling. These micro channels are said to stimulate both cellularregeneration and collagen and elastin production, and allow for improved absorption of the brand's GoldenNeedle Complex.

The complex contains a blend of 24K gold colloid, five plant-basedactives, and additional skin-nourishing ingredients. Once the spicules reach the epidermal layer of theskin, the actives are released for maximum efficacy and helpprepare the skin for the absorption of other ingredients in the formula. Users can feel the tingling sensationas the micro-spicules meet the skin and begin to work, according to the company.

The Medi Lift Needle Lift Daily Care Collection includes five skin care products, each with the Golden Needle Complex at the core of the formulation: Needle Lift First Essence, to hydrate and resurface the skin; NeedleLift Serum, with the collection's highest density of micro-spicules (1.4 million per tube), to smooth finelines; and the Needle Lift Cream, Cream Tone + and Cream Deep Moist.
